The Half Corona is the smallest cigar produced in the H. Upmann portfolio. It was launched in 2011 and offered for sale in twenty-five-count boxes, which was followed, a year later, by the five-count tins.
The cigar is rolled in a slightly opaque Colorado shaded wrapper, with red highlights. To the touch, it is rather smooth, with slightly pronounced veins. Nothing to complain about the filling and the draw. The construction is great. Starts off with a wonderful leather and pepper blast. This cigar is fantastic and packs a lot of flavo, a slight creaminess that gives the finish some body. The finish is dominated by pepper, leather and cedar notes.
